Certain spots on screen are dead, How much should it cost to repair?

I had the same issue. I saw a post on youtube about using a quartz ignighter to zap the deadzone back to life. Went to the dollar store bought 2 for under $2.00 and took the ignighter out of one, placed on the screen near the dead zone and zapped it!. Dead zone was alive again!.
It took a few times to make it stay though. If it reverts back after a few hours just repeat. Mine has been good for over 24 hours!... this is not a joke. It worked for me. hope this helps
