G3 Clamshell won't turn on

Hello. I recently got a Mac G3 iBook "Clamshell" computer and I need some help fixing it. There doesn't appear to be any major physical damage. There is a bit of wear and tear, but nothing significant. I charged it with the original charger for a few hours, but when I turn it on, nothing happens. On suggestions from the previous owner, I have already replaced the RAM processor, and I have a new battery on order. Did I do the right thing with ordering the battery? Will this help solve my problem If not, what should I do to fix it?
