The top screen on my DS started to flicker out and eventually stopped working all together. I used to be able to get it to come on by opening the unit all the way or most of the way. Now the top screen won't come on at all, not even a little flicker. Thank you for any advice you could give me, I'd hate to have to trash my old friend.

That's a useful guide for removing the top screen, but nothing on the repairing or replacing of the screen. I do appreciate the reply.
To replace the screen, take the old one out, then put a new one in and follow the steps in reverse to put it back together.
