Need help. I have a brand new d5300. Everytime I Remove the battery and put it back on, I get the message to set the date and time. I have tried leaving a battery inside the compartment for 5 days (battery is not fully charged though). I still get the message to set date and time. Pls help. Thanks

@bryancarpo there is a backup battery (capacitor) that provides power to the clock chip which keeps your settings when you remove the camera battery. If you always have to reset the date/time than the RTC power circuitry is not working. If it is a new camera, have it replaced.
