Can I replace an HD Display with an HD+ Display or do I need some kind of adapter for the cable? I actually own an Elitebook 8460p but as it is not listed here I thought this would be the right place to ask.

Hi,

Here is a link to the service manual for a HP Elitebook 8460p laptop.

On p.37 it shows the part numbers for both the HD and HD+ screens and cables. As the part numbers for the cables (and obviously the screens) for each type of screen are different, you would think then that you would have to get the correct cable for the HD+ screen.

If you 'Google' only the part number you will get results for suppliers of the part.
