I bought a iPad air model A1474 from our local flea market.... It has been reset but apparently I need the apple id which I do not have.... Can I still setup the iPad or have I been ripped off...

There has to be some way to reset the thing, right? Flash this or replace that...some work-around that might be against a certain company's policy, but his purchase of their product DOA, should Trump any reason in keeping some unbricking trick or hack a secret...

Ipad Air Wifi only ? what was right months ago is not more actually.
For a reason I don't know (leak or other thing) Idevice Wifi only can have Find My device deactivated for few bucks (10 €) . With FMD deactivated you can reset the Idevice without any problem.
I don't know how it's possible , especially if you consider that in the same time GSM devices are still very difficult /expensive to reset if FMD is activated . I tried to Google that, but I don't find exactly what can explain that nowadays it's so easy to unlock a Wifi device whereas it's so complicated to do the same for a GSM one!
