@kimber could be caused by many issues. The ignition system is the starting system for your engine. You're relying on the ignition system to produce a spark inside the combustion chamber. A few reasons while your engine may not produce a spark could be because of failures in any of these components:
Flywheel with magnets
Coil or Armature
Push Button starting or Pull Cords
Spark Plug Lead
Spark Plugs
Sheared Flywheel Key
