Is samsung galaxy s3 neo i9301 motherboard compatible with i9300 LCD

I took mine apart and the i9301 OLED (not LCD) is completely different.

Best case you might get a washed out grainy picture if the power lines are in the right place, worst case expensive smoke. The critical part is actually the display itself and some have a separate connector on the right hand side with about 18 wires on a 2 layer micro-ZIF connector.

The problem is that the higher resolution screens have more data bus lines (usually these are a variant of LVDS) and you can see this because each one has a ground plane either side of it.

On my S4 mini the bus has 6 "lanes" and on the S3 Neo 10.

You are better off getting the right screen and selling the old one on, if you are stuck PM me and I can sell you my i9301 (used, has minor damage but works) panel for a fair price.

Whats wrong with the old one if you don't mind me asking? as the parts on it can be recycled and for my purposes some OLED damage may be acceptable as long as some of the screen shows correctly.
