The battery does not charge and shuts off when unplugged

the laptop shuts off when the power to the battery is disconnected, at the same time the battery is not charging, it is the same as the charge when put to charge.

lucinalouis this could simply be caused by a bad battery. Before anything else, repalce that first. For more information tell us the exact model of your computer.
