No display after 5s screen on SE

Hi, I have a problem with iphone SE screen replacements! I fitted a 5s screen last week, upon testing, the LCD was very fuzzy, like static, so I thought it was a faulty screen, I tryed the original broken screen and it worked, so I tryed another new screen and same problem, I then tryed the original broken screen and now the display doesn't work, I can hear the phone but no picture. I have since fitted both of the "faulty" screens into iphone 5s's and they are working fine. I had another SE in today with a brand new batch of 5s screens and the exact same problem happened, tryed 2, very fuzzy LCD, original one not working. I did not screw the screens in, only clipped in to test, has anyone ever had this? Is there a new revision of screens that are for SE and backward compatible with 5s? I'm stumped.

iPhone 5S screens work on 5SE phones but you need to make sure that the LCD is original. Or atleast that is what I have noticed. As for your phone. look at the connections very closely and unplug the battery to make sure it fully turns off before you turn on the phone with the original screen again. hope it works!

Just wanted to say thanks for the advice above, I had the same problem and came across this answer. I had tried several 5s screens on the 5se but all had issues with colour and lines. After reading this I purchased a refurbished 'original' 5s screen and it worked!! Thank you!

Aftermarket iphone 5s screens won't work on SE they will be fuzzy with black lines. the reason is if you look on the connector of the SE screen the coding stating with A is different then on the aftermarket screens.

But if you can get the same code screen for 5S which is the newer version of screens they will work for sure.

Hi, thanks for the replies and feedback, I have re fitted the faulty SE screens in 5s phones and they have worked fine, so it was 100% the screens fault. I contacted my supplier and the said they should work, they contacted their supplier and was told there was a mistake and send a new batch out. The new batches have been working fine ever since, however the 2 SE phones that had the fuzzy screen problem never worked again so it must damage something on the board. So, SE compatible screens DO work but be careful, if it goes fuzzy, remove straight away to avoid damage!

I have contacted the supplier and they said their supplier said that the 5s screens are not compatible SE! I'm guessing it must be a new revision so may be worth checking before installing to avoid no displays on iphone SE.

just 5SE does 5S DISPLAY work on 5SE
