OK, You'll need to follow two different guides as we don't have one guide that covers the whole procedure. Follow this guide here first: MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Mid 2009 Battery Replacement This will get you to the trackpad which is just underneath it. Then follow this guide: MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Early 2011 Trackpad Replacement. Jump to Step17 to disconnect the ribbon cable. Then picking things up from Step 26. You'll note in this guide the logic board was removed to gain access to the cover sheet over the trackpad cable here we'll carefully lift it from the side enough so we can sneak the cable out. Just follow the guide in the reverse order to put things back.
