The camera won't turn on
My camera won't turn on even after charging it. I don't want to take it to a repair shop where a simple solution might cost me a hundred dollars. Any help?

I am having this same issue. All the latches are closed the camera is completely charged, but when I press the start button it gives a series of high pitched beeps and then shuts off with no other action. I cannot figure out why it won't stay on.
I will say I have had this camera for 3 years and have never been able to use it in the field, it always seems to have problems and never stays charged for very long. I was really excited when I read the description of this camera but once I got it I was very disappointed.
I would like to see if I can get some use out of it but now it won't turn on at all.
