My screen flickers then becomes unresponsive?
When I power on my laptop the screen is quite dim, after login the screen flickers and then goes black and ultimately becomes unresponsive . What can I do to fix this?

The display connectors inside the device may be loose or faulty. You will need to open up your device to clean this connector and try to re-seat the connector. That sounds like the connection to the display is bad. I have fixed this before just by cleaning the connectors before. Try this guide to get to the connectors: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04...
