My phone says that I have no service.

My phone keeps telling me I have no service, but it knows there is a sim card. I've tried the sim card in a family members phone and it worked just fine.

Hi, Has the phone worked before with the same SIM card? If not, is this a new SIM card from the same carrier or a new carrier. If a new carrier is the phone compatible with the new network? Does the family member's phone SIM card work in your phone?

A new carier with a new sim outside us? What do i have to do to configure it?
