Bios settings greyed out. Thinking I need to reset Bios jumpers

I bought a 1015e at a estate sale. It seems the Bios was messed up or changed around and I am unable to change setttings in Bios because most everything is greyed out. Of course Asus is no help, but I'm thining I need to reset a bios jumper. Anyone know if this laptop has one? I have unplugged the cmos battery, but a bunch of different motherboard bios researches come up with changing the pins on the bios jumper. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I actually have tried both ways. I have turned it off and turned it on with a password. Either way seems to not get me into any of the areas that I need.

Hi,

In the BIOS Security tab area, is the Administrator or User password showing as installed or set?

If so you could try reflashing the BIOS with the latest version suitable for your laptop or perhaps some of the solutions offered in this link may also solve the problem.

Hi, By that I assume you mean that either password was not set.

What OS is installed and what is happening that makes you want to get into BIOS to change it?

Try reinstalling the BIOS. Here are a couple of links
