Is there a part missing?
Is it just me as a Samsung noob or is there a part missing?

@stijntech that looks like connector HDC4000 which is supposed to connect the flex cable for the proximity sensor/Mic/service LED connector. So no part missing on the board. Your image is not clear enough (repeat straight down instead of angled) to see if the flex is there.

The missing flex is under his board. If you look, the right side of the board is higher than the left. The cable is folded under, keeping it from sitting right.
Pop the top of the board up a bit, use a pair of tweezers to grab the flex and get it connected.
Dear Apple, please take note that it shouldn't take 47 screws to pull a logic board.
@joshw darn looks like you are right. OPV (old people vision) getting worse. Good sight my friend.
I may or may not have just done the same thing last week. That flex is really....odd. It's tiny and wants to go under the board. I did the same thing as the OP. I sat there trying to find whatever I had dropped that should plug in there. Took me way too long to look for it under the board :D

The part that is to be plugged in there is the sensor for your proximity sensor, light sensor, and LED.

Perhaps it's there but the flex ribbon is just under the board, it happens to the best of us trust me lol. Just lift the board up and it might be there, if not just buy a replacement. All it is is just a snap on connector no biggy.
