Need help, screen won't work.

My laptop when I turn it on runs normally the Thinkpad logo comes up then the rollback as always. But then where normally the sign in page would be the screen is blank, it is still on and gives off light but it is just a black plain screen. If I hit ctrl alt del it just restarts it and I can't do anything.
