The number 1 will not come off of the screen

My calculator has the number one frozen on the screen and it will not go off or turn off. It has the letters deg in small print above it. Please help I need this for school.

Hi,

Have you tried to reset the calculator by removing the batteries?

Here is a link to the procedure to replace/reinstall your batteries and also to reset the calculator.
