I dropped my brand new MacBook Pro like an idiot, and dented and scratched it the upper lid all up. Is there any way to get that replaced without having to go through Apple? I don't want to have to fork out another $1000 for a laptop I just bought 2 months ago

So far I haven't seen anyone offer parts for this series yet. As for replacing the lid shell alone here not likely to be a separate part. Apple has been cutting down on the number of replacement parts, Apple only offers the full lid assemblies now.

Carter Davidson, It seems the OEM cover is not available or extremely hard to find, could try contacting Apple. "Just a thought", If your MacBook is still functioning very well and it is cosmetic issue with the outer case, maybe consider putting a wrap on it or hard cover to save a lot of expense and make it look good again. 1st Link below is a guide to disassemble the Mac in case you do come across a cover, if not the other link's are just 2 of many offering wraps and hard shell cases that can hide scratches etc. Good luck.
