computer sometimes turns on
my computor turns on sometimes and other times
it black screens

It's not getting power possibly. You have to try and determine if its the connections that go to the power button on the device or if the battery is going bad. If you have a multimeter you can check to see if it is outputting the correct volts. It could also be the motherboard but at that point its sometimes not worth it

Hi,
By 'black screens' do you mean that it seems as though it turns on and boots into Windows (is the HDD light on?) but that there is no display showing?
If so connect an external monitor to the laptop and check if there is a display on it
