Why does it keep shutting down

I power it up and start to open an app then it just shuts down. the battery is fully charged. It just shuts down. I have tried starting it up again and get it to start but shuts down after trying to open app. I got to do a factor reset but still have the same problem. what should I do now?

Does it work OK if you have the charger connected and switched on?
