Why I cannot turn on my tab?

I wanna ask, why i cannot turn on my tab? when i connect my tab with the charger, battery icon is appear..but then when i try to turn on, the screen turns to black only..usually, the samsung name is appear but this time just the black screen without any respond. Can i know whats was wrong with that?
