I had my phone in my pocket and it over heated. It wouldn't turn back on except to flash the logo for approximately 36 hours. After that the battery wouldn't hold a charge for more than 3.5 hours and it gets hot. I sent it away to be fixed and they say they replaced the main board but its still getting really hot. Is it beyond repair??

@phaet1 first off if you send it for repair you should expect it to be fixed. So I am not convinced that the board got replaced. The only other thing you can try at this time is to replace the battery. Verify with whoever fixed it for you, that the main board got replaced. You have not told us if the phone functions normally other than getting hot.

It was covered under warranty so I'm taking their word for it that they did replace the main board. At least that's what the paper work says. It seems to be working except that I cant seem to be able to find the setting to allow the phone to go to sleep. It doesn't shut down on its own anymore. I have to shut it off when I set it down. Which is a pain.
Also when it came back the phone hadn't been reset. Not unless they were good enough to back up all my info and then reload it for me. That seems highly unlikely.
@phaet1 so all your information was still on your phone? That would be strange since that information would have been lost with the new board.
Is that right?? That's what I thought but I don't know anything about phones.
Well I guess I'll be making another phone call tomorrow to find out why I was lied to.
