LCD and Screen replacement
I removed the gold strip next to the battery above the home button flex when removing the LCD digitizer after front glass removal. Can I continue with the repair or is it now repairable?

The best way to find out is to test the new screen and see if it's responsive. I'm not entirely sure if it's just a heat dissipation piece or part of the sensor for the touch screen.
I know the back of the new LCD should have the film attached as well, so I can only assume that it's a heat dissipation piece.
