Why won't my electric window function on drivers side

driver side window electric window won't go down or up the motor does operate but the windows seems to be jammed I don't know if it's because of cable or broken cable and if so, then what.?

Occasionally the plastic bend in the window regulator can wear down and the metal cable will bind up in the plastic preventing proper function.
