How do I replace the handheld display and/or cover?

The display of my Ti Nspire CX CAS calculator has been damaged by a friend who borrowed it for a week. There is a deep set of scratches that travel down the screen.

Upon closer inspection, it looks like the calculator has a thick plastic layer on the top, and I wonder if perhaps I can replace said cover instead of an entire display assembly.

Any help is appreciated.
