Galaxy S3. Charger takes 15 seconds to recognize.

hey team!

i have a galaxy s3 that wasnt charging originally.

so i went in and swapped out the charge port.

now when i plug the device in while its on, it takes about 15seconds to recognize that it has been plugged in.

however, when it is off, or if i plug it into a computer, it recognizes the charge immediately. anything i can do to fix this?

if it is an IC or known coil failure, send me a diagram to help locate it. i have intermediate SMT Skills.
