Hi, I need to replace the battery to my HP Envy m6-k022dx (replacement #715050-001). There is an appendage that is attached to the battery, and connects to the computer. I want to know how to remove the appendage without damage. Thank you!

I think if you are able to just root around a little bit you will be able to find the connector/appendage and then you can disconnect it with a Spudger. Just be careful to not damage it and if it does not come out with the first try keep trying and do not rush it!

There should be about 12 screws on the bottom of the laptop. Use a PH1 screw driver to remove these screws. Then use a prying tool to remove the back. Once you have the back removed the battery will be right there. Find where the battery plugs into the board and carefully unhook it.
