Random Shutdowns on MacBook Air

Hello ,

I need your help guys.

The problem is simple the Macbook Air runs totally fine and smooth until it just shutdowns for no reason. After that sometimes you can just reboot the Macbook but sometimes it crashes while rebooting. But then after an hour or so it buts just fine until the next crash.

I did this steps:

  • I did a SMC Reset
  • I used Apple service diagnostic:
    • Without the Battery it seems to complete the test with no problem
    • with the Battery attached it crashes while the Memory Test
  • I Got a new Battery
  • Still the same thing nothing changed

Could there be something wrong with the mermory ? I heard there are a few problems with the ram chips on macbook air boards.

Would love to use the macbook again without losing all my stuf every 2 hours.

Thanks peace üt

Often time a crash will create a Crash Report. You’ll want to go into the Console app which is located in the Utilities folder in the Application folder.

What you want to do is review the reports and locate the newest one with a crash. Often times I just clear them all out by selecting them and right click putting them into trash. Then pull them out of the trash and place them into a folder to save them just in case! Now the next time it happens we’ll have no distractions!

Lets do this and then save the crash report as a PDF and post it here for us to see 기존 질문에 이미지 추가하기

Something is odd here as the MagSafe shouldn’t effect ASD memory test. Whats the history of the system have you gotten it wet (spill) or banged it so you needed to replace something?

How full is your SSD? As well as its size.

Where do i find the crash report? The SSD is completely empty just the OS.

The crash report is held in one of the hidden folders within your System folder of your booting drive with MacOS on it. If your SSD is blank you don't have a bootable OS on it, hence it won't be there.

its empty except the os. where do i find the hidden folder?

You really need to use the tool I listed in my answer. Thats the Console application which is sitting in your Utility folder in your Application folder.

Open your drive via the finder locate the Application folder then open the utility folder then double click on the application called Console - Done!

Now locate the report section to find them. You likely have quite a few you want the newest and the one thats labeled Crash Report.
