Try uninstalling and reinstalling the audio drivers for your laptop.
In the windows machine, if you would like to make it easier on yourself, you can do a “refresh”, in which make sure you read it as I don’t recall completely what it says but it keeps your files while reinstalling some files needed/ reinstalling windows basically which may fix your problem. Go to your sound manager, check if something there is wrong. Is something muted in the volume mixer? Is something disabled? When did this start?

Could be the sound card. I have the same problem with my hp (exact same model).

@natanthetechman are you suggesting this laptop has a dedicated sound card?
Hi,
Have you checked for audio from the earphone socket on the laptop?
Have you checked in Device Manager > Sound, video and game controllers that the audio controller is installed correctly?
What OS is installed in the laptop?
What have you checked?
