I bought a used Mac mini A1176 a few years ago (originally using the A1188 model, 110W power supply), and these days I found an used A1105 (85W). Unfortunately both (mac mini and power) didn't work together, there is no sign of life, but honestly I'm not sure if the Mac mini is working, as I've never tested it before. I'm an electrician, so I tested the A1105 power supply with a multimeter on all internal pins, and only 2 of their pins (out of a total of 5) showed 18.5V. I believe the tension pins were created in different locations for each model.

A1105 is the model number for the 85W 18.5V 4.5A mac mini power supply.
(A1188 is the model number for the 110W 18.5V 6A mac mini power supply.)
The lower wattage power supply can work depending on which CPU you have. For instance, the 1.66GHz CPU draws max 31W.
This site says max power consumption of the 1.6GHz Core Duo Mac Mini was 38W.

Audiophile site mentioned that the 85W PSU is cleaner forMac Mini audio.
2GHz Core 2 Duo can consume 53.3W, so could still be OK with 85W PSU and SSD.
SSD uses less power than HDD.
