Thermal pad vs paste for GPU
I just got my late 2011, 17” MacBook Pro logic board fixed (they changed the GPU card)
When I received the logic board back, there was a paper inside with installation instructions saying that I should only use thermal pads on GPU and thermal paste on CPU.
I’m a bit confused as I never heard of thermal pads before, and if in fact I should use a thermal pad in GPU, what model, size, thickness do I need? Can anyone help me here?
