How to replace the cord with a new one.
The contacts in the plug of the controller got bent somehow. How do I replace the entire cord with a new cord? Thank you.

Here’s a guide that gives you access to the cable, however you should note that this is for an official Nintendo Gamecube controller. If you attempt this on an unofficial controller, the wire is soldered to the circuit board.
I found one on ebay. Please reference their picture to see how the unofficial and official controllers differ.
