What can I do to fix recurrent Ice Buildup in my Samsung Fridge?

Hello guys,

My problem with the fridge that I have is that every 7 months I have to deattach the back panel of my fridge to defrost in there because, otherwise, the fridge would stop cooling at some time.

I appreciate a fix that helps me get rid of this recurrent ice buildup in my fridge.

Update (01/18/2019)

I fixed this by replacing the thermistor. Still thanks for all the help.

Hi,

Did you follow up on the advice in the link you posted, about checking that the drain from the freezer is not blocked?

What is the model number of the fridge?

I couldn't see a lot of ice inside that hole.

Hi,

Its not a case of ice blockage you need to prove that it is not blocked or obstructed somehow and that the melt water (from auto defrosting) can flow out of the drain pipe into the evaporator pan below the fridge
