Why does my receiver power keep clicking on and off every second?

Why does my receiver power keep clicking on and off every second? It’s almost like the on/off switch is shorting out, I keep hearing a click-click sound

What is the model number of the receiver?

Sounds like the protection relays are operating and then releasing again.

As an initial check, with the power turned off, check that there is no short circuits between the speaker wire connections on the receiver and also on the speaker end

Here's a link where you may be able to obtain the service manual for the receiver.

Scroll down to the downloads section and select "Service manual".

Unfortunately you have to sign up to get it (they say it is free).

Hopefully it will be of some help to find the cause of the problem
