Does my transmission have a filter?
I cant seem to find a transmission filter at all on my car

You don’t state the year model of the vehicle but in the 2006 Hyundai Sonata owner manual there is no mention of a transaxle oil (manual) or transaxle fluid (auto) filter.
The maintenance schedule in Sect. 5.5 only shows that the manual transaxle oil has to be inspected every 30,000 miles, whilst the auto transaxle fluid has to be inspected every 15,000 miles and replaced every 105,000 miles.
The inspection and replacement procedures are shown in Sect. 6.14-16.

Yes it does inside the transmission you have to remove the engine with the trans outside and remove the trans from the engine to replace the filter
