Console Powers Off, Red Light Turns Off
Hello All,
I have a PS3 slim which is several years old and I am having a weird power issue that seems different from other ones I've looked up.
Basically my console Powers up with no issue, and it will launch a game without issue as well. However after 10 minutes to 2 hours of gaming, the console shuts itself off. What's more, the red power light turns off as well. If I unplug my console from the back and then plug it back in, the console works and I can power back up again.
It isn't kept in a hot location and isn't dusty, I've taken care of the machine.
Does anyone have any ideas and suggestions to stop these power downs?

Is it with any game that you try with it?

Yes sir. I've had it happen when using a disc, as well as when it was a downloaded game on my hard drive
