I got a iMac 24" 2.33 model on ebay and a month later i noticed issues with the screen flickering, the more apps i loaded the more freeze ups, since the video card is soldiered on the logic board i was wondering if i can put my iMac 20" late 2006 emc 2111 motherboard inside it and use the larger screen, possible?

If you look at pictures of the boards, you'll see that the 20" and 24" boards are differently shaped. Doesn't look like you can swap them around.

No way. Most connectors, fixings and the like are completely different.

interesting you say that, i have opened them both up, the only part i will use from the 24" is the power supply since the iMac 20" power supply is fried, everything else is the same it seems., both machines are late 2006 and use pretty much the same parts also accept for the video cards.
i just want to get my 20 inch model working with the 24" screen and its power supply.
please let me know if your familiar with the parts of these two machines on this site

Hallo. Did you make the change? Did it work? I have the same problem with iMac from 2008, and I wonder if I can do the change of the motherboard.
