when I move my left stick my right stick moves itself! what can I do?

when I move my left stick my right stick moves itself! what can I do?

hello everyone…

when i move my left stick up, my right stick moves left

and the otherway around…

when i move my left stick down my right stick moves right

somethims my right stick moves it self slowly and sometimes with maximum speed possible…

here is what i already did:

1)i used controller reset botton

2)tested it on the SAME CONSOLE but with different apps so its not a specific game bug or my applications issu

3)i softly pulled out the sticks a little wich cut the self moving but as soon as i move the right stick it starts again (beacause sometimes i have to move the right stick so the right stick starts moving it self after releasing it)

what can i do?

hi.. for anyone who have the same problem, i took my controller to a professional guy and he sayed you need to replace your controller’s coal… he did it with a very low price for my left stick and it worked… idk what he meant from controller’s coals but i thing he was talking about those 2 changable parts on the sticks… you can find how to disassemble them by searching how to clean dual shock 4 sticks on youtube or google or here on ifixit!

sorry for the lake of information… my knowledge is very low on this stuff…. but i hope i could help ;)

Does this happen on multiple controllers(if you have multiple)? Have you tried different games or apps,Or is it with every app?

Have you tried hitting the reset button on the controller? Have you checked if the firmware is up to date?

If yes to all the above(excluding yes or no to multiple controllers),it’s probably a hardware issue. It’s very likely the controller chip that’s soldered on. This is not a diy fix. You should invest in a new controller. Walmart has them for $46 sometimes,new and Sony brand.

i edited the text...

what im still up to do is to get a controller from my friend (cauae i dont have multiple ) so i can test it out and also test my controller on his ps4

and do a software reset with that secend contoller

cause another issu i had was that i didnt know if that reset botton on my controller worked or not! it was still paired by blutooth to my ps4(without using usb cable) even that i kept it pushed for 10 secends

after all of this i want to open it up and clean it...

but i try the fireware update too as you said :) thanks
