Cannot connect to internet unless I am sitting next to modem. Can this e fixed?

Hi @corpsegirl ,
You may have a loose WiFi antenna connection.
Here’s a link to the ifixit Acer Iconia A1-830 Front Facing Camera Replacement guide which may help.
I realize that the camera is not the problem but the guide is useful as it shows how to open the tablet so that access to the antenna connection is possible.
Here’s an image taken from Step.8 in the guide where I’ve highlighted the antenna connections

Thank you for the guide. I will try this and see if it works. Thanks for your help.
I had the same issue, confirmed this was exactly the problem. Took about 2min to open the tablet and re-seat the RF connector.
