Hi, a few years back I accidentally hit my Ipad Air screen very hard and it resulted in the touch no longer working. Also under the screen, I can see some cracks.

You may have a damaged touchscreen (digitizer).
Here’s a link to the ifixit iPad Air Wi-Fi Front Panel Assembly Replacement guide.
This shows how to dis-assemble the iPad to gain access to the digitizer panel so that it can be replaced .
Also in the guide are links to the various parts and tools available from ifixit that are required to do the repair.
