Screen brightness resets after restart

I have a Galaxy Tab A 8.0 SM-T387 that has a brightness issue. After I start it up, the brightness is all the way down on the dimmest setting. I turn it up and it stays up, thankfully, but when I start it up again, the brightness is all the way back down again. Is there a way for me to force it to keep the brightness where I put it?

Hi,

After you have adjusted the brightness setting, re-start the tablet in safe mode and check if the setting is still correct.

If it is then a downloaded app may be the cause of the problem.

The trick is to find out which one is the culprit.
