My in-door ice maker keeps dispensing

My Kenmore Elite french door refrigerator will not stop dispensing ice or water long after I release the lever. I have tried to clean it with appliance cleaner but am still having the same issue. I cannot get it to stop unless I time it or open the door. My warranty is expired and don’t want to pay the high cost of appliance repair. What can I do to resolve this issue?

I’m attaching a link that has the parts diagram breakdown. You can locate the switch with lever on the dispenser diagram. I’ve found the lever to be bent and doesn’t allow the switch to disengage when you remove your cup. @Shandice Jefferson

There is a switch behind the dispenser lever that is sticking. I can be of more help without a model number. It is located inside the fresh food section on a sticker.

my refridge is a Frigidaire model fffh20f2qwf . same problem ice keeps coming

My Frigidaire is doing the same thing… will not stop trying to dispense ice. I have to disconnect the auger motor in order to get it to stop
