Why is the screen blank?
The screen turns on but is just totally white. The touch functions work though -- if I swipe my finger across the screen, I hear the click of it unlocking.

Thanks. The guy at the iPod store said it could be the screen or it could be the chip that renders the image. Can I return the screen for a refund if it's not the problem? Do you sell the chip that renders the image?
The part I linked you is the whole display, it will replace the "chip that renders the image" as well. And I'm fairly sure iFixit has a decent return policy, check here though, to be sure.
