The bottom half of the screen gets a double image
Hi All.
I am helping a friend who has a Samsung LED tv.
We have a weird issue that is causing a double image, in the bottom 2/3rds of the screen.
I had it open yesterday and reseated all the cables.
Edit: The model number is: UE50ES5500

Hi oldturkey03.
Thanks for your response, and it sounds logical (not like I know much lol).
I assume you mean this board:
How can I diagnose it to be certain? Also is it worth fixing?
Thanks again.

Hi CrazeUK
I had the same exact problem as yours the source board had a short in it the source board is bonded to your screen witch is not good but you can bypass that short I don’t know how long it will last but it is Ether that or buy a new screen and the screen would be more than a new one I am going to be making a video tomorrow if you would be interested in seeing how I bypassed it

@crazeuk no. that looks like the T-con board. The board I am referring to actually connects to the panel with very thin ribbon cables that are bonded to the side of the LCD panel.
As for if it is worth fixing, that will depend on what is broken. take a good look at the board (once you find it :-) and let's see what we all can find out.
