Torn ribbon ground replacing screen. See picture..

Is there a way to repair the ribbon after it has been torn? It is the two outer ribbons that seem to be grounded to the chassis.

Can this be repaired or do I need a new ribbon assembly?

I actually put it back together as is and it’s working fine. I have no idea what they are for but they’re not affecting functionality as yet.

Yes it can be repaired with the right tools and experience. Short answer, no don’t waste your time. Time is money and that part is 50x cheaper to just replace instead of spending hours to fix.

I have been searching for a source for a replacement "ribbon ground", but can't find any :-o

Does any of you know of a good source and a link to it?
