Ps4 Cannot reinstall system sowtfware

Hi, My ps4 is broken and need some help with it.

So my ps4 is currently in safe mode with only one option which is Initialise PS4, option 7. So I download the install file. which is the reinstallation for version 7.02.put it on a hard drive and it accepts it. but halfway through installing it, it stops and says cannot reinitialise ps4 with an error code underneath it ( CE-34697-9 ). And then there’s only one option which is shut down

I have tried everything I can. Looked at every video but nothing is helping me and it’s just not working

Is it less than a year old? Get the console repaired by sony.

If not, replace the HD with a new replacement 1TB or larger one. Then re-install / re-initialise the PS4 system software and it will work again.

You probably meant "SU-34697-9", hard drive kaput.

Take out the hard drive and blow it out and blow out the ps4 and put the hard drive back in… should take care of the problem

This is exactly what I did and it worked, thank you. I was going to throw in another 1tb I had but this did the trick. Thanks to this advice I got a free ps4 Slim
