iPhone SE keeps rebooting every 2 mins after screen replacement
I had a crack near the earpiece of my screen which was gradually getting worse but the phone was usable. Eventually, the entire left side of the screen was unresponsive to touch. I decided to open the phone to try disconnect and reconnect the cables to the digitizer but the problem didnt go away. However, when I refitted the screen it stopped working all together so I decided to go a a repair shop to do a full replacement.
They have done this but now the phone will not charge and reboots every couple of minutes (the phone appears fully functional in those 2 mins). When plugged in, the battery indicator shows that it is charging but it just keeps rebooting. I’ve left it charging overnight with the phone switched off but it doesnt go past 3-4%.
When I picked up the phone after the screen replacement, the guy said there was a charging issue. He said he tried changing the battery and the charging port but neither helped so it must be an issue with the motherboard.
I’ve never had battery issues with this device before so would be grateful for peoples thoughts on this. I am getting a new phone next week and have an iCloud backup so not the end of the world but would quite like to have this working again
