My laptop got overheated and burns something but still working?

While i am using it it got overheated and something burns i side and makes sound and i removed battery and put it back after 2 min and laptop turned on normally is this a problem?

Yes. It is a very serious problem! Can you feel air blowing gently out the left side vent near the display? No? Then fan is not working and must be replaced.

Open it up very slowly and carefully as shown in repair guide

and check the fan.

If the fan does work but weak it may need cleaning and dust blown out. Gently wipe each blade.
