Plugged 110v air fryer into 220v plug! Can it be fixed?

I accidentally plugged my Ninja air fryer, purchased from the United States, 110v plug, into an extension board that was plugged into a 220v wall socket, and it immediately gave a loud “pop" and there was a very faint smell of smoke or something, and it hasn't worked since. Can it be fixed? Or is the appliance damaged beyond repair?

Hi @yaabaf ,

It may be able to be fixed.

Hopefully all that has happened is that the fuse and possibly a MOV surge suppressor may have blown.

Open up the device and check the board for any obvious damage. They components I mentioned should be located near to where the power cord connects to the board.

Unfortunately I couldn’t find any guides or videos that will help you to open the device but if you can open it and you find any signs of component damage e.g. scorch marks, burnt components etc, or even if not, post some close up images of the board back here.
